I try to bring to you books that I have read and really enjoy. Now, anyone who knows me will tell you that my favorite thing to read is paranormal romance with sexy Scottish Highlanders. I love time travel, but it doesn't have to be paranormal, just a good romance is fine with me.

Well, the author I am going to talk about today gives you a little bit of everything and a whole LOT of sexy Highlanders.

Let me introduce to you, MONICA MCCARTY!

There are three series she has written and I have read them all. The first is The MacLeods of Skye Trilogy. You have Highlander Untamed, Highlander Unmasked, and Highlander Unchained.

Then you have The Campbell Trilogy.   In this trilogy you have, Highland Warrior, Highland Outlaw, and Highland Scoundrel.

Last but not least, there is The Highland Guard Series. So far she has written The Chief, The Hawk, and The Ranger and she is currently working on The Viper.

If you would like to learn more about these book, please go to and look in the "special features" section. There is everything you need to know right there. Even a family genealogy line and excerpts that didn't make it into the books, picture books, etc.

I encourage you to look through the pages on her blog. I promise you, that you won't be disappointed when you read one of her books. I'm sure you will be hooked. Monica is one of my favorite authors.

NOW- a treat for you! If you go to her web site and look through "The Highland Guard Series," I want you to come back here and leave a comment about something you found on her web site having to due with those books. Those of you who do will be put in a drawing to win an autographed book of "THE RANGER."

Don't delay. This contest only lasts for today. A winner will be drawn first thing tomorrow morning and given to Monica. (Her busy schedule only allows me to have the contest for this period of time, sorry)

Good luck!

  1. Monica, I just loved seeing your picture book for The Ranger. My heart melts every time I see historical sites of Scotland and Ireland. Thank you for sharing those!!!

*waving to Sarah* Thanks for spotlighting Monica today! You rock!!!

you don't have to enter me in the contest....I'm hear for the support and the enjoyment of it.

  2. Wow. Monica's books sound amazing! I'll have to get my hands on them. And The Viper is a story about Bella and Lachlan-and the race to save her daughter. Again-looks great!

  3. Michelle, you should get these books. Sarah and I have a friend that lives in Australia. Her name is Gayle and we met her through Veronica Wolff (mutual friend and mommy hit parade with Monica McCarty). She had never read the books. I had them all. Gobble them up like wild fire and patiently waiting for Mon's next release. Yeah. She is THAT good.

Anyhoo, back to Gayle, I loved Monica's book so much that when Gayle told me she couldn't get them I bought them all and shipped them to her. It was a pleasure to help a fellow reader and admirer of Monica's work.

*WAVES LIKE A JACKASS TO SARAH AND MONICA!* Good Luck to anyone who wins this book!

  4. Waving Monica. So fun to see you today - we bonded over our favorite Highlander at a Sacramento Valley Rose meeting a few years back. Ever since then I have been addicted to your stories. You website is great. I don't know exactly what Sarah meant by something on your website, but what I found that is interesting is that you have a key to the castles...

Best of luck with lots more stories. Love your Highlanders!!!!

  5. Thank you to everyone for stopping by and leaving a comment. I am glad to see you as excited about her work as I am.

MICHELLE- As soon as you get one of her books, please let me know what you think.

  6. Waving hi to everyone...

Monica, you're book sound awesome! I've been wanting to pick them up for a while, guess I need to just do it!
